How we raise our pork
If you’re the kind of person who likes to understand where your food comes from — you’re in the right place.
Why We Raise Corn-Free, Soy-Free Pork
We raise pork differently because what pigs eat directly shapes the fat you bring home.
Most pork is raised on a corn and soy based diet.
Ours isn’t- and that choice impacts the quality of the meat in a meaningful way.
Why it matters
Pigs store fat directly from their feed.
When corn and soy are removed, the result is pork with significantly lower PUFAs (PUFA stands for polyunsaturated fatty acids)
By removing corn and soy from our pigs’ diet, we are able to produce pork with:
Better fat balance
Lower levels of omega-6 polyunsaturated fats
Improved omega-6 to omega-3 ration
Many families are looking to reduce excess omega-6 fats in the modern diet. This helps lower one hidden source.
Lower levels of PUFAs
Especially linoleic acid, a common omega-6 fat
Greater stability when cooking
Lower-PUFA pork is less prone to oxidation when heated, which means a cleaner, more stable cooking fat
No corn or soy exposure
For those intentionally avoiding these ingredients, this matters
What’s in our feed?
We believe what goes into our pigs matters — because it ultimately affects what ends up on your plate.
Our pigs are fed a carefully selected, corn-free and soy-free ration designed to support both their health and the quality of the pork we raise.
Here’s exactly what’s in their feed:
• Peas – A clean, plant-based protein source that helps support steady growth
• Triticale – A hybrid grain (wheat + rye) that provides balanced energy without relying on corn
• Alfalfa Pellets – Natural fiber to support gut health
• Kansas Salt – Essential minerals for hydration and overall health
• Swine Premix – A balanced blend of vitamins and minerals to make a complete diet
Is our pork healthier?
We don’t make medical claims — but we do believe that how food is raised matters.
Our goal is simple:
to raise pork in a way that aligns with quality, transparency, and traditional farming practices
So you can feel confident about what you’re bringing into your home.
